Finishing up a Construction Project
Last summer I got a job working for a small construction company. We do everything from house additions to office remodels and even build houses from the ground up. We specialize in custom jobs and as we were about to finish our last job we got to put in all of these cool things like a Reiker room conditioner and a mahogany bar. The place ended up looking rather stylish, like it was out of the old West or something. The guy who had commissioned the project was incredibly rich and made his money in a hedge fund, which is always something that I wanted to learn about.
We also put in a couple of Panasonic exhaust fans and we only used LED lighting around the entire place. I learned a great deal as we were building this house, because this guy was incredibly smart. He wanted to make everything as eco-friendly as possible, so this required us doing a lot of research. Some of my days were even spent heading out to the library so that I could get books so we could look things up, like when we had to install a towel warmer. None of us really knew what this was and the client just figured that we did, so we didn’t want to look foolish.
